Girls Talk Tech logoGirls Talk Tech’s goal is to help girls learn more about IT careers and feel confident they can succeed. Girls Talk Tech (GTT) was formalized in 2018 with the mission to educate, encourage and empower young women to embrace technology for the future. GTT is powered by a group of women in ConocoPhillips Information Technology (IT) who are passionate about what they do.

Girls Talk Tech engages with schools and other programs in our communities in a variety of ways.

Community engagement

Expand each section to learn more about how we engage with the community. Programs vary by location.

We speak to groups of students at local schools and programs to share our career experiences in IT/STEM and take career and college-related questions. This is our primary form of engagement and one of our favorite ways to interact with students.

In Houston, we call it the Fest; in Bartlesville, we call it Career Day. Whatever it's called, it's an amazing day you won't want to miss! Students are invited to one of our campuses for hands-on activities with various technologies, panel discussions, and break-out sessions with our IT professionals. Lunch, tours, and prizes are provided to attendees.  See the highlights of our 2023 Fest in Houston.

The ConocoPhillips Girls Talk Tech IT Summer Program gives high school girls interested in technology an opportunity to experience what it is like to work in Information Technology (IT) at ConocoPhillips. Students will gain insight and exposure to various technologies, career paths and industry opportunities. See a recap of our 2023 IT Summer Program in Houston. Learn more.

We sponsor and participate as guest speakers in summer camps that align with our mission.

We are excited to invite you to join us on LinkedIn*! We’ve created this group as a place for you – the students! We hope you will be able to network, learn about IT careers, and join in the fun along our GTT journey. Connect with us here: ConocoPhillips Girls Talk Tech | Groups | LinkedIn
