Houma, LA – ConocoPhillips announced the presentation of $45,500 in charitable grants to 10 organizations in Louisiana’s Coastal area at an event earlier today.

ConocoPhillips accepts grant applications from local organizations, and an employee committee reviews the requests and determines the allocation of funds.

“We are pleased to be able to give back to the local communities where we live and work,” said Phil Precht, director, ConocoPhillips Coastal Wetlands. “The organizations that we selected positively impact the local communities and are a great example of organizations that share some of the same values that we live and work by.”

This year’s grants range from $500 to $15,000 and the recipients include law enforcement departments, educational institutions and various other civic organizations in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes, including:

• Catch a Dream Foundation.
• Fletcher Technical Community College
• Friends of South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center
• Gulf of Mexico Foundation
• Hope Extreme Inc
• Lafourche Parish Sherriff’s Department
• Terrebonne 4H Foundation
• Terrebonne Parish Association for Retarded Citizens
• Terrebonne Parish School Board
• Terrebonne Parish Sherriff’s Department

Each year, ConocoPhillips invests in local communities through charitable giving, employee volunteerism and sponsorships. Our donations support education, health and safety, natural resources, the arts, civic and social services and disaster relief.
